snowing in ks today

kinda late for snow in this part of the world. no peaches or pecans this year. must be global warming

We’re getting it now in MO. Wondering if we’ll get pecans, apples, etc.

No snow here yet (working down in Norman) but they're saying we might see a little.

We got just enough to make it stick on the ground here too Danny. Streets still melted instantly. Was still cruising down the highway at 75 last night with snow on both sides.

The snow ain't good on the orchards, but the 20 degree weather and hard freeze coming the next two nights is gonna hammer em. I know some of the orchards are line in up helicopters to come in and move air to try and save some of the crops. I was told that cost was 800.00$ an hour with a guaranteed 5 hours up front. Have seen them use up to 3 at a time.

I was pushing 14 inches in the Hills yesterday with no cell service so it’s time to head for MO soon the SD season runs until the end of May so there is plenty of time. Seen a bunch of birds in SD and WY but not callable.

Today everything is white again, but from frost. All the fruit is a goner! Dang, I'm sick of these late freezes. Another tomorrow night, just to make sure its all dead! lol

got a half inch early this morning.

Mostly melted off now.

I'm sure Tug Hill Plateau got it's share too.

Hateful stuff, but we could use the runoff
when It melts because we are at the cusp
of a drought if we don't get some more
precipitation.

On the shores of lake Erie here 4 inches last night. White out lake effect snow right now. Supposed to clear up and temps drop tonight. Might lose my apple crop. Most trees bloomed with blooms just pushing out last 3 days. Got my fingers crossed. Grapes should be okay only suppose to get down to 26 to 28F. Concord grapes here with buds just pushing out 1/2 inch usually don't freeze bad till lower twenties

It's not so much the late freezes here as it is the early heat. 80's in May made buds want to push. Even lake Eries water temp couldn't moderate that kind of heat
