has this ever happen to you

first time was years ago fox trapping , I had a framers wife call all mad that I didn't check my traps for 3 days , I told her I have check the traps every day , she said no , because there a fox in the traps and it's been there for three days , I told here I was by there already today and got the fox , she said I lied because she is looking at a fox in my traps , luck for me I had talk with her husband , 3 fox 3 days in a row, yesterday I was out early and checking traps ,and got a beaver on the county job , it was about two hours later I get a call, from county guy and tells me I got a beaver, I tell him I already pick it up ,he say that he is looking at it , he say he can see water on road where the beaver cross the road and got in trap in the ditch ,

Have received that call a lot but it’s probably because I check most of them before the sun is up.

Yup ditto on taking animal out of trap and getting call same day you got something in trap......no problem, thats what trap is there for !

This year, I had checked traps and had a coyote in a trap and another trap had a coyote in it for a bit but was empty. The rancher called and said I had a couple of coyotes. I told him it was only one but I had picked it up the evening prior. He said they were still there this morning. I thought he was confused on the day and had seen the two coyotes before one took off. I went back out and there they were. Two shiny coyotes. One had a dent on its other foot. It had a bad memory. Lol.

Had a guy that I trapped his camp road tell me I had a fox, told him I got that fox yesterday he said he just seen in so 2 in 2 days in the same trap it happens.

My calls usually go like this " Hey Space you have a fox in a snare back of my field. No need to hurry I finished it off for you with my shotgun". (at 10 feet!!)

Oh my. I hate that. Or, “He was about to get away so I shot him (with a 30-06). You get there and there’s a full pad catch.
