Year End Shed Antler Pile - 05/15/21 01:51 PM

I know there’s the odd antler nut on here so here’s the year end stack. We quit picking a few weeks ago when we got heavy into trapping beaver for bear bait and then the bear hunting kind of took over.

Great job! I’ve been picking up several deer and elk antlers. Man I need to get someplace and find a moose!

I always say I am going to get myself out and do it. I never really have put much effort into it. There's no way I'd find a pile like that! Nice!

Man that's a great haul. I ended up with only 31 whitetail sheds this year. Do you sell them?

Congrats on the 31.
We sell the craft size stuff and most that are not fresh. The good stuff goes into the trophy room. A guy can only keep so many, I’ve kind of got a personal maximum and I just sell something from that collection and replace it. My kids are building their own collections so more are getting kept the last few years than before they got old enough to really pound the ground.

Good deal. I love the dark colored antlers you get up your way. Yes I keep most all mine too but the wife says Enuf. Lol. I've gave a few to friends but hate to part with them

Nice collection! I think you guys know about the FTA antler drive...it’d be great to donate a few. Money brought in goes for protecting trapping.

I wouldn’t exactly say that. In comparison to Utah it’s less I’m sure but there is more competition than you’d think and this is the result of 100s of miles walked per person in different locations over an area of about 250 miles north to south.

That pile looks like about the size of a new quad in the making.
Once you train a dog the miles covered add up even faster.
GPS tracker on the dog and you will find were the big sheds are and they cant carry out
