any 80s music fans here?

I know that primarily , that most of us here are real country music fans.............this guy included. but I do like all kinds of music except rap , opra...........anyways.......I kinda stumbled across these guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they are a new band that are part of a movement that's bringing back 80s rock type of music.......I get a .38 special/don Henley vibe out of this one.

A lot of us were teenagers in the 80s. Some great music, but also some awful stuff. Remember Asia and Yes? Bad stuff.

Speaking of Queen, I watched that movie about Freddy and to my surprise it was quite good.

Say what you like about New Wave, punk, and some of the metal bands; they beat disco.

Remember seeing these fellers at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis in the summer of 87'. Along with Kingdom Come, Dokken, Metallica, and Van Halen.

Oh yeah, I think I pretty much listened to straight country as a kid in the 80's (I am a little younger than most of you here, I never hit my teens til the early 90's) but by the time I hit my teens there was some AC/DC and Metallica in my repetoire, and by the time I hit my twenties there was a lot of Def Leppard and Ozzy in my repetiorre, and to this day my music collection continues to amass 80's hair bands faster than any other music.

The 1980s were a desert in terms of rock and blues music, compared to the decades before and after.

But there were a few good groups, Dire Straits among them.

I disagree,,,,,,,,,,some of the best guitar work ever came from the 80s.............this is coming from a guitarist. like it or not,,,,,,some of the hair band/metal guitarists knew their weapon quite well.

For me... RUSH Something for Nothing is a favorite, off the 2112 album released in 1976, but I listened to it all through the 80's and still to this day!
