Re: Michigan Trappers - 05/24/21 12:45 AM

I have to make one correction. The major raffle will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, not 4:00 pm
Hope to see you all there.

Would be nice to attend. I am a member. Just way to far to drive around the pond.

I'll need to pack a lunch for sure. And I'll take a gallon jug to collect urine as we go.
JUST KIDDING!
Now I went and started trouble.
I know how urine threads get started here on TMan.

Re: Michigan Trappers - 05/25/21 01:25 PM

I ain't been in several years. I'm hoping I can sneak down for at least part of an afternoon. It isn't much of a drive for me, less than a full hour for sure.

I’ve been to the Evart show once. Two years ago. Was a good time for sure! Nice auction too! Was a 350 mile journey for me. It was well worth it. I’ll have to see if I can make it again.

Re: Michigan Trappers - 05/25/21 01:55 PM

We hope you can ALL make. Thats what really makes a convention is all the old friends and making new friends spending time together. We plan on have another great one this year. The flyer is being updated as we speak. We will be having a Pig roast donation dinner Friday night right before the auction. (Proceeds from the dinner go to the kids trap raffle program ), we will also have a possum toss. (No real possums), a cast iron cooking (and sampling) demo both days. A wild edibles booth and our ever growing adult hay scramble. Not to mention some of the best vendors in the country! A real family event. Remember, bring the kids, bring the spouse, heck, bring the mother in law!
See you all there.
Happy Trapping, Joe

Re: Michigan Trappers - 05/25/21 04:31 PM

I work a lot and don't get out much, but the convention is always the highlight of my summer. My wife's Uncle has a cabin about 10 miles south of Evart. We always stay there and have a blast. I love the demos and talking to the old timers. It can't get here fast enough for me. Already putting money away !! Hope we have a great turn out.

Talked to Joe Velchansky, the problem with the phone no.is 231 724 0470 is listed on the itinerary, the correct # is 231 734 0470 for those looking to get a room.I wouldn't wait too long by the sounds of it.

Room is booked. Even on the hotels website it says there aren't many rooms left for those dates. I'd hurry.
