Pretty cool and worth the watch. I always appreciate the old photos. Tough people and a good time. Great adventures I am sure. I recognized a few of the photos and people. The family of husband, wife, and kids with all the firearms I think is actually a modern photo of Savell and family printed in black and white.

I can tell you something about this picture here. The elk and deer were both shot around 1966 in Cameron County Pennsylvania on the opening day of the regular deer season. They were both illegally shot, there was no season on elk at the time and I can't actually remember the story as to why the buck was hanging there. The warden was Norm Erickson, a mean SOB. He had 1 deputy, our neighbor George Andrus, another mean SOB. Anyways, George told my dad that these were hanging at Norm's house in Prospect Park, (Emporium PA). My dad took me over to see them. I was probably 10 years old and the memory is still etched in my mind as if I was looking at it for the first time. The size difference between a mature elk and the whitetail is amazing still. Most of the deer's body is the same size as the elk's neck. Thanks for posting.

Some of those bucks, both Whitetails and Mule deer had to be some sort of records in their day. And what about the bear and three cubs killed. Back when that was what’s for dinner for this winter. The one pic with a pile of turkeys, some Canada’s, small game and deer.

I think some of those are market hunters who sold the meat and hides for a living.
