Most of those dried "herbs" need honey or something to get them down.

I have a bunch in my home garden with still tender and clear leaves I'm going to pick and dry soon. I have a few people who want it...

Best anti histamine I have found. Clears the lungs, reduces swelling from stings and allergic reactions. One of my top 3 first aid herbs. Did I mention it grows on every continent save the one covered in ice.

We have it by the gob here. It is supposed to be good for your lungs to smoke it.......I call B.S. How can ANY smoke be good for your lungs? We have several "foraging" type Facebook groups here and 99% of the folks parrot all manner of crap they read/hear. I hear all the time how the Native Americans used it for centuries, um, it is an import, so they must have got it from those pesky Pilgrams as soon as those folks hit Cape Cod.

It doesn't taste bad to me, I think if I add peppermint tea to it it will be better

Re: Mullein tea - 05/26/21 01:39 PM

Do you dry the leaves first or use them green?
I must have chopped, dug and sprayed a million of them out of the fields in my life. Maybe more. Hard to keep ahead of them. One prolific weed.

Cures the China Virus if you use a leaf for a face covering.

I use mullein in capsule for . You don't smoke it . You either make it into a tea or take it in capsule form . Yes it does work , cause I had breathing problems back after what I think was covid and it healed it up . I gave it to my wife with breathing problems from her allergies and it's helping her .

That right there is the absolute best Indian toilet paper on the planet. Might be the best toilet paper period.
I recommend not making tea out of leaves which have been torn off...

Mullien can be used in 3 different ways,,, it can be used as a tea, smoked, or as a poultice,,,, I personally have found the tea to be most effective,,, I use approximately 2-3 leaves torn up , then pour 2 cups of scalding hot water over the leaves and let set for 10-15 minutes,,,, strain it thru cheesecloth because the tiny hairs can irritate the throat. Sweeten with honey,,, because it is extremely nasty tasting. The oil that comes from the little yellow flowers are used in ear drops,,, they are a very effective antibacterial...... and Yupper,, makes great toilet paper. Some like to use the stalks to make torches. Mullien is not native to North America, it was brought over,,, same as dandelions,,, and got away
