I've got a marlin .444, no dies to reload, and down to 7 rounds left.

I've been packing one for years. I finally got my hands on a Ranch Dog mold. My mold drops a bullet that weighs 300 grains when Im finished. The old Hornady 265 grain bullet was a good one, but its discontinued now. Speer's270 grain gold dot also has a good reputation, although Ive never used it. The 444 is one of the most underrated cartridges out there. Its better than the 45/70 in my opinion. Ive taken a lot of game with mine, including grizzly. For powder, R7 is my favorite.

The Hornady rubber tips might be OK for deer, but they dont hold up very well on really big game.

I've had a Marlin 444 for years. Used it as my bay up gun. Also my guide gun. Shooting the Hornady Lever evolution for a few years now. 265 grain. No grizzly around here but will flat stop a black bear.

Hornady 265 gr flat point over 43.5 gr of H4198 in vintage Marlin (Microgroove). Don't know what bullet I will go to after my 265 FPs are used up.

I load my 444 brass with shot and use it in my 410

Hornady makes, or did, a dandy 300 gr, JHP. Might try fooling around with a .44 Sabot!

I don't own a .444, but years ago looked into this company for hard cast lead bullets for my Dan Wesson .44 mag.

https://www.beartoothbullets.com/

They have many types that also can be used in rifles. If you slug the barrel on your own gun I believe they will even make a mold for whatever cast bullet you would like to use.

Hard cast bullets such as these DO NOT deform when traveling through wet newspaper or tissue.

I’ll check tonight or tomorrow on my load. It’s not a pointed bullet, but a good load.
