Anyone ever had done , at not real hard work job? Tomma afternoon between jobs I probly gonna donut, never did it 2 hrs bfore work

I got all four wisdom teeth pulled before going to work at a grocery store when I was 17. Granted, it wasn't very hard to stand there and ring up groceries. But they sent me home because I couldn't talk right and I kept drooling, and my cheeks were all green and swollen. Apparently some customers complained.

Last I had pulled never hurt it felt uncomfortable but never throbbed.

I bit my tongue real bad at work after having a tooth pulled at lunch time. Once the novacaine wore off the tongue was worse than the empty tooth socket.

I think you are going to be fine, Dave. If they use gas or anything you may want to think twice about driving or operating machinery.

No just wonder about work after , not real hard work but cleaner janitor job, if start bleed or this dry socket , teeth get worn down older, lot teeth pull work, this one all filing by itself after teeth pull beside it in last 2 years, weak , had take leak bad an couldn't , wait on someone an agitate me, clench teeth an within half HR, hardly thing left it , close front

Getting a tooth pulled should not affect you at all.

I talk about go work less 2 hr after

Everyone is different. Are you on blood thinners? Do you have uncontrolled high blood pressure? If yes to one or both you may have trouble with blood clotting while working and moving around. If you don't have either condition listed above you'll likely be okay with light work two hours later. Everyone (and every tooth) is different though. I'd take the advice your dentist gives you.

Dry socket is when the blood clot comes out and the socket (and jaw bone ) is exposed to air. It can be quite painful and require a second visit to the dentist. Blood thinners and high blood pressure and being active make the clot more susceptible to coming out before it's ready.

You'll be okay coon man. I got several pulled at once and went trapping afterwards in the dead of winter, smoking cigarettes the whole time. Think I even drank through a straw too.

Tooth guy here.
Put your feet up and relax on the couch, dont smoke, drink from a straw, or swish vigorously. Eat soft foods, avoid dry foods that may adhere to the clot and pull it out of the socket. If you get a dry socket, it will let you know 4 - 7 days afterwards. Several visits may be needed to pack it. The packing lasts approx. 2 days then it will need to be repacked. Dry socket paste tastes like a railroad tie.
I can send you a note to release you from work if your employer is being a jerk about it.

Don't do coonman, it's your last tooth! You'll be drinking soup the rest of your life. But, you'll save money not having to buy a toothbrush or paste. Just pick you up a pair of those BillyBob teeth at the local 7-11.

I went to work hopped up on pain killers , worked the whole day , wife dropped me off and picked me up cause I couldn't drive
It wasn't a good idea and it hurt so much more than laying there the 2 days prior, it was a Wednesday I went back to laying there in less pain for the rest of the week.

I had 3 ruptured discs in my back , it wasn't smart

I've had plenty of dental work in my days and don't wish a toothache on anyone especially an abscessed tooth. But as far as working afterwards I would not strain yourself to hard. I once got a dry socket and it made a toothache seem as child's play. Good luck

Got dentist an new one just start from college denistry, foreigner lady , in dbq ia at slide fee scale dentist, good if no ins. I devide not get crown at $800, get pull hr an half bfore work at job I can't miss or cause trouble, decide not to, ask if fill a tooth of 3 need done instead, no not today, she say not in pain so another appt, so I guess do like last fall, ask or say can't go work next Fri morning appt an take off morning at factory an got appt first thing, so rest up an make work at nite no trouble , I don't think she pull it anyhow, she wouldn't even fill tooth, for once got attractive look nurse out 2 better ones, usally get stuck this black one an not sure what up but always make noises, I would not want be 10 yr old kid there, I rember younger this dentist an nurse would slap kids around anything , anyhow the man dentist be there next Friday an he well pull tooth, I don't know about one today on that, if they can't get pull, u go like half pull to specialist another appt an terrible

... I might know exactly know what that noisy, kid slapping, colored nurse needs if you want my take on it

Dave, I had 30 pulled at once. I was blue to my belly button, lol. I had already had two pulled by a blind dentist and he broke the filling off one and it fell in the hole and he didn't know it or didn't care. I had a dry socket a couple days later, doom, despair and perfect agony. I didn't know the filling was in my bottom jaw bone, til they x-rayed it when pulling the other 30. That was 10 years after the dry socket. Its still in my jaw bone.

Look at recipt, say limted exam, so they weren't even plan on do next nothing today anyhow, I ask if fill another tooth an no, I wondering why good looking nurse today instead other, it just a rip to rack me up big bill, now I lost the dental appt card at work I think when pull out garbage bags out pocket, hopefully just say my first name it , never usslly loose nothing, but was in hurry, I hate that an who find, not want hear nothing back about lost appt card

But I did lay a moving chain saw blade across my knee getting out of the way of a falling tree that got hung up.

It was a mess and bleeding like a stuck hog.

A bandage, some duct tape and back to work I went.

Got tooth out, easy one compare last fall, I didn't go work after then lay around hrs, it took him hr get out last fall, do stuff home before work again, got off vacation work morning, so run into someone from work not like at redemtion center, only one open cause covid , year if 2 liter pop bottles , wait line hot sun with grocery's fry in pickup , I hate hills in that town an stop go traffic on hills with some old lady they told park in way with truck front her an lug motor once again with worn clutch ,so this guy decide be real smart I know if from work an try start argument fight of why I.
