Hey guys, planning on running my 650s with only 2-coils instead of the 4. Do you think coyotes will be able to pull out or do you think it will be fine? Thanks.
It's more to my American brethren. You may understand when you hit puberty ifn the queen aint took everything by then, but then again Canuckistan is different than here. We dont submit.
Sounds like an insult to me. Don’t let douche bags like this discourage you myside. There's a lot of good people on here with a wealth of knowledge. I’ve held eastern coyotes in 2 coil 1.75 victors so you should be ok.
The Duke 650 Is a great trap and you will be just fine If you decide to remove the second set of springs. I did that with the 4 coiled # 2 Dukes and haven't lost a coyote yet.

MySide-You asked a perfectly legitimate question in a very appropriate venue. Don't let it bother you that others kick dirt on what many think is a shining future of trapping for you.
I'm sure they'll be fine MySide. Can't wait to see a pic this fall with one of your 650 2 coil dukes. Hopefully you remember to attach it to this thread again. Keep up the good posts

Thanks Turtledale!! I'll be posting pics over on my thread in the "Chat" forum. I have my season thread over there if you want to check it out!
I used a couple last season and I did 2 coil the one. Just make sure you bend the dog upward a little bit to increase pan tension. If you don’t, the tension is to light for my liking.
I have a dozen 650s love em and want more. A 2 coiled 650 will hold a coyote the springs on the dukes are strong. Sometimes on here you gotta ignore some people. I want to see some pics with you and a coyote.
