PSA .22 brick - 06/11/21 04:55 PM

Crazy price on .22s or is this the new norm? The nice thing is a lot of the higher priced stuff is not selling out so fast, that should bring the prices down quicker.

Plenty of morons that will pay case price for a brick, and stash it in the basement till the next insanity, so he can sell it to get his money back!

Seems if they buy it then hold onto it for years then sell it for what they paid for it or less they might not be that bright then. LOL

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/11/21 08:43 PM

From what I have seen ammo has come down a little and is more common to find. I just saw a place in Minot was raising its price on 9mm and 5.56.

I got an add from Palmeto state armory today 800 rounds $99. Man what a deal. I had to say I'd get back to them on it. Like when they come back to earth or down from whatever they've been smoking.

If and when bomgaars gets ammo in, its put on the shelf in the spot it belongs behind the price tag that was there 2 years ago. Sure, they were slightly higher than scheels or cabelas on some stuff, but they dont try and screw you when they have it like the other places. Gotta appreciate that.

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/11/21 09:58 PM

Most places are not that bad but PSA is getting more like cheaper then dirt more and more lately.

Decent ammo but I'm not paying that unless I was smooth out of my beloved CCI and Federal rimfire stuff and that wont happen in this lifetime

Demand drives price. With Bidet trying to get this guy to run the ATF:

Not a bad time to move old inventory if you have a lot like I did, just hope it goes down in the future but still kept a lot for myself so I’m still good.

It's hit and miss here, I go mid week, early morning. I have enough to shoot skeet for a long time. I don't buy any .22 unless its Walmart price. I have bricks of Blazer with a sticker of $24.95 and not that old.

The rimfires I run LOVE that ammo. I avoid wallyworld but if I do go into one it I'd usually thru the automotive or landscaping entrance and then str8 to sporting goods to see if that exact ammo is available.

They used to have the Fed Lightning where you find that and my auto loaders (model 60s and 10/22s) run like sewing machines on the old lightning bricks too

Found the same ammo at our local Walmart today. They had 6 boxes left when I was there at 1:30 this afternoon. Bought my limit of 3.

I saw 10 bricks sell at a farm auction a couple weeks ago. Average price was 85 dollars a brick and most were Remington golden bullets.

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/14/21 09:07 PM

Bought 2 Blicks a week ago for $ 34.99 and one 333 pack last Friday
It's out there from time to time

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/14/21 09:12 PM

Also, spent to much with PSA in the past. Hate see that price gouging from one of the largest ammo sellers out there. I think im done with them.

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/17/21 12:29 PM

Not that long ago I bought a whole case (5000) for less than it would cost for two of those bricks. It was right around $150 shipped for the same ammo. They are one of the best shooting bulk 22's in my opinion.

At those prices I should sell 20 bricks but they don't eat anything and take up little space.

I think this is the going price. I have not been following prices closely though.

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/17/21 12:51 PM

Looked on the Federal site they are about the same price depending on the type, some stuff as .20 a round glad I don’t need any right now.

Re: PSA .22 brick - 06/17/21 01:19 PM

Midway has them listed for $50.99 per 500. They are out of stock tho. The cheapest 22's on midway are 9 cents a round. Twice what they were before all this crap started.
