Same here.

Strange if this is intentional and strange if it isn't. Something is off here. TNT won't explode from fire. It needs a primer to set it off so a Dynamite explosion would need to be intentional but if this was intentional, why choose an open area like this? If the goal is to do damage, there are a lot of places to cause more damage than out in the open on a highway.

And that crater and debris field is definitely a detonating explosive. The only thing I know of that will detonate like that without needing a primer and is readily available is acetylene. My guess is a welding tank truck.

Looked at the 911 site lots of guessing, one comment was Menards sells dynamite for $10 a stick that made me laugh.

good point. If you can afford something that takes a photo from the sky, you'd spend the $20 to put a color camera on it.

Re: I 90 truck exploded - 06/16/21 03:30 AM

Dynamite isn't usually sensitive to heat. The main things that set off dynamite are shock and friction. Our preferred method of disposal of dynamite is to burn it on a bed of combustibles. I burned a shed that contained leaking dynamite with crystals, and had no explosion. I've also burned cases of dynamite with no explosive effect.

It'll be interesting to hear the results from the investigation.

Re: I 90 truck exploded - 06/16/21 03:30 AM

Reminds me of the Somolian building that blew up in Mpls a few years back. FBI trucks outside in minutes and the building was torn down and filled in flat by the next morning. News said it was a gas leak....until the gas company stated they didn't have a gas line into that building. Hmmmm.

If there was terrorist involvement, you'll never hear about it....only the lies. Perhaps he had an over inflated tire?

Go back to page one some joker posted that pic with no info it was not from this incident after they reported a dynamite truck was on fire at that location but the driver got it out this joker posted the pic and nothing more to seem like the current issue~

The old vehicles were a quick giveaway, that car at the bottom of the pic is longer than the pickup next to it.

Good eye Dan, when it was not on the evening news it seemed fishy but news travels slow here at times. I knew about the blasting cap thing but you would think a burning truck would have things a popping if it got hot.

Re: I 90 truck exploded - 06/16/21 04:04 AM

There was an ammonium nitrate tanker that caught fire and exploded in Arkansas a year or so ago. That picture is almost exactly what it looked like. Driver knew it was going to explode and got off the highway and on to a back road when it blew. Luckily no one else but the driver was killed.people in little Rock reported hearing the blast Which was around 50 miles away
