Just read a news article about stolen guns from the military are showing up around the country after being used in crimes. Any one else heard anything?

I'd not heard about it but a buddy of mine has a boy enlisted who comes home and describes some of the recruits as being less than desirable so maybe this should not be a surprise.

It was a story by the associated press .One part was about grenades and a grenade launcher being found in or around Atlanta.

Nothing new, just maybe the volume is rising.

A missing firearm and a missing Miltary ID card are a commanding officer's worst nightmare.

Its not new. firearms and explosives have disappeared from military arsenals since the u.s. got its first arsenal

Just another fast and furious?

A lot of gangbangers in the military these days also. I've seen several documentary's about that over the years. Even US gang graffiti over in the middle east where our troops have been deployed. Not to say it's all gangbangers but I would be willing to bet quite a bit.

Thirty years ago we had one or two from east LA one step ahead of a judge. Most got straightened out or kicked out but even then you could see where things were headed. They had to be handled with kid gloves, couldn't say certain things, etc.
I honestly don't know how we possibly could field a fighting force today.

I’m pretty sure we would be fine but maybe it wouldn’t be a bad thing in the future.
