Good for Texas ! Proud of you. And you need these protections, dealing with all the garbage at the border. Spilling over onto people's property.

My Montana is a close second to you , HB for campus carry is being contested by the elite liberal university members . They feel their preferences are above the Constitution. But Gov. Greg G , and the majority of help also in office, is making a strong push back.

States need to ally with each other in these things, shoring up our constitutional rights as Americans.

Good video, Hoss. Thanks for sharing.

I won't be surprised to see Abbott toss his name in the ring for 2024. We could do a lot worse.

Sadly, both Texas and Montana will soon be lost to the hordes of Californians they are allowing to settle in their states.

Those migrants should be placed in a five year quarantine before being allowed to vote in their new states. Maybe they can put some time and distance between themselves and their former sickness.

Well, I happen to live here, and everywhere I go, different towns, and speaking to people , including a realtor at times, and others who have business dealing with the public, they are saying, that the majority moving in, are sick to death of the places they came from. They are conservatives, not dems. And even among a portion of dems, they have changed their minds from what they've experienced , and are escaped slaves of the Democratic Plantation.

Of course, there are those libs who do move to every state, but they find they don't fair well in rural communities , which is most of this state. The ones who stay are overwhelmingly in the large towns.

It has been heartening to hear realtors, and other professionals in the areas here, commenting of how the majority that come here are not liberals.

If this is true and can hold then Texas and Montana may increase their electoral counts and house delegations. Commiefornia depopulating is losing some of their's in this last head count.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 05:12 PM

Alabama was expected to lose one but didn't. That would've inevitably been one of the red districts as the gerrymandered blue one has been court protected since it's inception.

Overall in this last census red states have gained while blue ones lost and in the redistricting the R's control the majority of state houses. A small glimmer of hope for the next decade.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 05:17 PM

Yes. With people like Ron DeSantis of FLA, and others like him, including Greg G. here, they are staunch fighters of keeping America in their states. There are a slew of folks in rural , and in the larger towns who are sick to death of what they see happening, and demonstrate 0 tolerance for the same whining agenda narratives happening in the big cities across the country. We all hope it stays that way.....hence these HB's put into action , and the states alliances with each other.

Georgia is going to try to carve up one or more of those districts on the north side of Atlanta that recently flipped. Redistricting and the inevitable midterm swing should flip the house and possibly take back the Senate in 22. With just the house alone Bidet is dead in the water.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 07:13 PM

Wasn’t it on this forum just a day or two ago how a few of you were saying that BOTH PARTIES were out to strip your gun rights. Just one was moving faster.
Texas Republicans must have not got the memo. They appear to be going the other way.

Genius!!!!! Reverse psychology!!!! The Republicans in Texas have figured out that if they pass enough laws protecting the 2nd amendment, sanctuary state for gun ownership ect, the people of Texas will feel so safe they will turn all their guns in VOLUNTARILY!! Brilliant!!

Hmmm something wrong with this picture?

Our Governor is looking at sending help to the border if she can work it out, it might help if they start working on what needs to be done rather then playing the butt kissing games in DC.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 07:18 PM

I really enjoyed my visits in Georgia. At times , peach orchard owners would ask my father to fly up in his souped up crop duster to sweep the orchards. I would ride with him . Those were great times and he would have me work on my landings and take offs on the grass strips. The land was beautiful and the people we met were gracious deep southern folk , who loved to put on a great feed for us. I have never even been able to think of Georgia as anything but very nice and conservative. That was how the country folk was , I never spent time in the city.

Oops....sorry Jerry. Didn't mean to step the same time as you did smile

I believe it was PA that just got done with their redistricting efforts. They eliminated 7 red seats/districts in PA while not changing any blue seats.

The real Georgia still is. The festering boil known as Atlanta is spreading.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 08:45 PM

A conservative from California is still a democratic in a conservative state. They are sure turning Colorado blue.

I'm day dreaming about moving west again.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 09:48 PM

That's what I think we are all holding our breath waiting to see. Just who is doing the moving and where they are moving to.

Popular wisdom says all of California is card carrying leftists and its gotten so bad they are leaving in droves to screw it up all over again.

I'm not so sure of that. Within living memory California has had republican governors, including Ronaldus Magnus, and delivered two republican presidents. So there has to be some decent folks left in that state. Is it these folks that are moving? Maybe, maybe not and just where are they moving. If I had to ponder a guess they like most folks move to what they know. Maybe Texas is gaining the right leaning and other places like Colorado, or Austin, are doubling down on stupid. But do we know the the card carriers are upset enough to leave or are like pigs in slop and content to stay?

In all this reporting of mass exodus I've yet to read any detailed demographics just so much speculation.

Sharon,
I hope you are correct in the Montana assessment. Time will tell.

I read that Virginia is losing citizens too. Not too sure on these peoples political lean. It seems California gets all attention. Just my rambling thoughts. Virginia has a high cost of living ect.

Virginia is much like other southern states like Georgia and North Carolina. Largely conservative in the rural but part of the Atlanta, Charlotte, DC triad of stupid.

I have wondered about this, and Rush spoke about it often.
So, what drove California so far to the left? Was it migration of leftist types into California, eventually overwhelming the resident conservatives? or did resident conservative adults fail to pass conservative values to their kids?

It's definitely a head scratcher worthy of further study. If for no other reason than to learn to stop it from happening again.

I can't speak for other states but even the rural areas seem to be more and more blue all the time. Just my local observations. Not trying to debate anyone. Just something I have noticed. Other parts of Virginia maybe red. I don't know.

I'll take your word for. I'm probably under a false impression based on how many I saw turning out for your gun rallies.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/20/21 11:15 PM

But I'm having a time here in Georgia watching the slow creep of suburbia into formerly rural areas.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/21/21 12:51 AM

Well I am coming to the realization my far will never make it to its potential due to lackey of time and funds. Esp with me working out of town. I'm 41 and see no further reason to kill myself fighting for something that will never be in an area that will just build up more and have less and less hunting and fishing opportunities. Sucks but I guess at least I realized it now not in 10 years.

Now where to start looking.

Re: Good for Texas! - 06/21/21 01:11 AM

It's sad to say but it's true. Land is being broken up and sold all around me. I plan to move, just not sure if there is anywhere to go. There is a few places in Texas but soon that will be lost soon. The only chance is that people start waking up to the destruction of these left wing polices.

Probably it's urbanization, California has 30 million plus people, if memory serves me correct the southern part is one big city. The big cities determine the leanings of the rest of the state. They tell me norhtern CA is fairly conservative.

Up until this last election I thought every vote was probably counted fairly but we now obviously have reason to question that. If the fix was in last election, it would only make sense that at least some states had played with the numbers doing test runs and California might have been where they started.

I have wondered that about Minnesota as well, going back to the 2008 Norm Coleman/Al Franken debacle. I wonder how many elections have swung left on metro ballot stuffing/harvesting?

Yup, it makes a man wonder (unless he gets all his news from CNN and never learned to think for himself that is)
