There seems to be some decent electric mowers out there. Looking at a 56V EGO. Does anybody own a lektrik mower and how do you like it?

Gary, when I was stationed in California, there were plenty of men who lived together who used electric mowers. Lol.

As a testament to the mowers, they all seemed to work surprisingly well but the lawns were all small.

I knew I’d only be there a few years so bought a used lawn mower for $25 from a landscaper. It smoked more than a diesel rolling coal and nearly made the locals’ heads explode. Lol.

I hope you passed that on to the next resident John.

I almost bought one recently. The only reason I didn't was because my neighbor came by as I was leavung and offered me his old gas mower.

I have a lithium string trimmer that my wife brought home. I first rolled my eyes and thought it was going to be terrible. Boy was I wrong, best trimmer I've had.

Just bought one a week ago. Ryobi 20 inch with a 6A battery. Wasn't going to buy one but my neighbor had one and let me take a couple of turns around my yard with it. His was not self-propelled, but was so light it didn't make any difference. Not good if you have a hilly yard. Mine is basically flat and just under a quarter acre. It is not going to power through tall grass, but if you mow regularly it will be just fine. I wanted to get away from gas and oil. One charge of the battery will do my whole yard in 45 minutes to an hour. Online ratings on mine were good if you want to go by that. $250 on sale at Home Depot. The self propelled was a $100 more. Works fine for my needs.

Borrowed my neighbor's a few years back it was a plug in not battery operated. It got three job done but struggled with thick grass areas.

I have had a Black & Decker for about 6 years. It will not cut tall grass. My battery is getting weak. Only good for half the lawn.
A good elec. mower is pricy. Do not get one with a cord! A real pain in the back end. Just like a gas mower you get what you pay for.
I would get another in a heart beat.

Milwaukee makes a decent battery power weed eater. It's quieter than a gas powered one.

One of my sons has battery powered everything. The batteries are all interchangeable. His newest acquisition is the lawnmower.

He says he loves it; or at least thinks he loves it. His wife has pretty much taken it over. It is light, quiet, fun, and you don't need to be pulling cords.

Sorry, I did not get a brand name, but it is a cute little green thing.

Looks like the little woman is going to pull the trigger on a self propelled Ego. Good ratings and will pay for itself quickly. Lawn guy gets $120/month for 2 mowings and it needs mowed weekly.

A client of mine bought a battery operated zero turn. It is a commercial grade and the thing is an absolute beast of a mower. Paid $34 grand for it. The guy is obsessed with gadgets especially green gadgets.

Not a mower but I got an ego trimmer. Love it. Plenty of power and run time. Plus, an auto string loader! If I had a small lawn, I’d get the mower too.

What do you mean? Something that cuts itself?

Yes, they cut all buy themselves like the robot vacuum cleaners do. Return to base and recharge. No beer needed.

We brought the Ego home today and cut the back yard. I'm very impressed. It has a 2nd blade above the cutting blade that pulverizes the clippings for mulching. Great invention.
