I'm gonna do that, Paul. I'm not as fancy with the lables and stuff, but that don't change the taste! I hope we don't have any wine police there, like in Virginia! I don't think we will.....but you never know! Travel safe my friend!

Sure wanted to make it to Iowa however another CTC scan this Thursday
Possible heart surgery next week on my aorta which has an aneurysm teetering on the threshold.
I'm dreading it, but it's the card I'm dealt.
Maybe next year. . .

LT, prayers that your upcoming surgical procedure will be the start of a new journey.
Will lift you up asking that God's Face shine upon you and guide the physicians who you'll meet.
Stop by the booth next year and say howdy sir!
Blessings,
Mark

Re: NTA convention - should be a great one! - 07/15/21 10:58 PM

Mark,
I would never ask anyone to pray for me, but there are a lot of people that could sure use it, so I hope others will remember them and those in need.
I have lived life on my own terms. Good or bad. If it ends. It was a good life. It is also filled with regrets.
They tell you are possibly thinking of entering the Clergy, so I get it. . .that's the rumor anyway.
I am reminded of when we first met : Mansfield NTA . We had booths side by side.
A life time ago. Time stops for no man.
But I digress. . .
Thank you for your kind words.
I will keep that in mind. Have a great show everyone

LT,
It has been a few moons since we saw each other, and that's a good memory to recall all those years ago in Mansfield. Weren't those some fun days! Packed conventions too.
I don't know about entering the clergy per se, but yes I am a student at a non-denominational seminary in Dallas, with graduation on the horizon in May. No full time ministry desires but Donna and I are looking into short term pastoral assistance in some pretty remote bush areas and my trapping preparatory heritage would seem to be an aid in that environment. We'll see how it goes.
We'll miss seeing you as an old friend at the NTA show, and Donna and I will both pray you do well medically and more moons will rise above you. No need to request or even ponder the significance as prayer in this case, as it often is, is our way of saying thank you for what we have and what may be according to God's will.

Just like trapping is old school in a modern era world that finds little use for it.
So is God.
But us old trappers are pretty simple folk when you boil it all down in a galvanized tub and dye and wax it.
Pretty basic folks.
God bless you and good luck in all that is ahead.
Blessings,
Mark

If there even is trees available, I know alot of people setting up the event headed there today, Ill head up first thing tomorrow to help, sounds like it's quite the task to set up an event of this size!

It's been 25 years since I've been to the fairgrounds but,
Than the trees where small.
Like I said though 25 years ago trees can grow pretty good in that time laugh

I guess there has been a change of plans. A friend that is there already, said that we were moved to the pavillian bldg, instead of the grandstands. For people that are trying to find me on Thursday!

John, I believe you can get in, not sure how it effects the fees involved though!
