Updated, Wayne Derrick out of surgery

Looks like all went well.

He had a 90% blockage in on of his hoses in his heart. I told Dana to make sure one of his sideburns wasn’t caught in there somewhere but I guess that wasn’t it. Good news is the surgery went as planned and he’s in recovery and on blood thinners for a bit.

They are requesting prayers for a solid recovery.

Hope all continues to go well.

My only worry is that he’ll come back stronger than when he was 25 and he’ll come visit and take a toll on my coyotes worse than parvo. Lol.

Wayne’s blood pressure crashed and they brought him back into surgery. The doctor said it was likely a bad stent.

Got another call. The stent is where it’s supposed to be. The doctor said the pain may have been coming from the part of his heart that wasn’t getting blood. He’s getting some steroids now and they’ll be at the hospital a couple nights.

Talked to him a week or so ago, life is fragile.

Wayne is recovering again. Seems some of the meds didn’t agree with him. They’ve got him stable and back to maybe going home tomorrow.

I still didn’t get the feeling the doctors wanted my expert advice on it being a sideburn run into his heart somewhere. Ah well.

I know you got it handled Mr. Wayne! .... my momma got split open and repaired a few months ago and is running around fishing and chasing grandkids already. I’m sure you’ll be up and going even faster

Did they use a robot on you or have to open you up?
Dad was lucky they could use the robot, faster recovery.

That was a couple of years ago and he is doing good

Wayne is about to leave the hospital to go home. He said he was about to fight the doctors if he didn’t get out of the hospital. Good thing for the doctors they are letting him go home! Somewhere in the middle of our conversation, I thought he said he was going to buy a pair of running shoes and start training for the NYC marathon, but I could be wrong.

I think he meant snowshoes!?

he had an Ace up his sleeve...he could have just cracked open a bottle of Bullseye, and they would have THROWN him out!
