So the NRA calls me today

As usual, begging for money. Told them that LaPierre didn't need another suit and I have already given their donation to the GOA Which is true by the way.

And their answer was???

There something that’s quite disturbing, something weighing heavy on my mind.
Again we’re asked to pay a ransom, for rights under attack one more time.
I’m starting to see a pattern, but don’t question just pony up and pay.
There’s only one way to fix it, become a member of the nra.

A 911 emergency, one that ain’t comfortable sitting in our crawl.
Cause to keep a gun in this country, is guaranteed after all
Argued and debated, the phrase “Shall not be infringed”
We’ll define it for them, someday, when three percent of us come unhinged.

They claim to be sworn enemies, pointing fingers at who’s got it wrong.
But behind fancy doors with brass handles they seem to all get along
Together they work out a deal,  better than nothing is what they’ll say
So pay the ransom for your constitutional right, become a member of the nra.

A little anticlimactic. "Thank you sir, have a nice day" and a hang up.

That's bout what I figured, Michael. They have kinda become the turd in the punchbowl! I hope they get their act together, but not gonna hold my breath!

Hobbie isn't wrong

They need to fire the top 5 guys and start over finding out what they should be about. Not just asking for money and compromising the second amendment away one chink at a time. . I would join up again no problem.
