Yes! My favorite recipes is "when ripe, pull from the vine and insert in mouth." Delicious! Especially the Sunsugar variety.

Whoops! I just saw you said "pickled." I thought it said "picking."

LOL I do em like that too. They going wild this year and about to be covered in em. These are the sweet 100 variety. [Linked Image] Growing using 5 gallon buckets. About 8 foot tall and sending them back the other way now.

I did it a few years back when I had tons of green ones late in the season. They were never going to be ripe before the killing frost so I did up a bunch of pints. Just got a recipe off the internet. They were ok.

I made them. Got the recipe from Google somewhere, sorry I can't seem to find it now.
We didn't care for snacking on them, but... adding a few to a homemade pasta sauce REALLY kicked up the tomato flavors and added a tangy note that was quite pleasant. Worth doing for that reason only, I'll be making them again
