UPDATED: what happened to....

Bud Guidry? I always enjoyed his posts and his beautiful flies. Says he hasn't logged in since May of 2020.

Edit: Despite all the comments to the contrary, Bud is NOT dead.

I think there was a thread about him passing. I remember the shrimpboat threads and enjoyed them. If I am incorrect someone please correct it.

I remember his beautiful flies. Sorry to hear that he passed away.

I knew he wasn't doing good but never heard of his passing either. I really liked Bud!

Missed his thread about passing away. He was great at tying flies. He had the ability. I enjoy tying flies but not even close to his skill.

If I remember right either Rags or maybe Gary Benson had mentioned it on a post like this when someone asked where he was.
Been quite awhile back.

This man which appears to be Bud's brother, died less than a month ago.

"He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace P. Guidry and Audrey Blanchard Guidry. He is survived by : his close friend Tracy Dantin; his daughter Desiree Marie Guidry; his grandchildren, Landon, Lucy and Lincoln Brunet; and his brother Bud Guidry (Darla)."

Ok, so he's definitely not dead folks. He's on Facebook, and he posted last night.

I sent him a friend request but we have no mutual friends so he might not accept. Definitely him though, and he's still tying flies!

But it is good to hear that the report of his passing is apparently not correct.

From his posts he seems to be doing good. Tying flies, camping out, gardening, and complaining about all the things Darla won't let him do, LOL

I'm still here, diabeties kicked my butt, left foot amputation but I'm trying not to let it stop me, I keep getting chewed out by my dr for doing to much but hey, my personality dictates i keep fighting and moving. Oh I've had some crazy happen the past couple years, I'll come by and tell you all some stories that will make you laugh and cry but it's all good,
Yes I'm alive but I do have a foot that's buried in a shallow unmarked grave somewheres, last I heard a coyote had dug it up. On a positive note I was trapping coons and otters this past winter in my crawfish pond. Well.....until I flipped the boat and had to crawl out on hands and knees thru the pond but that's another story.
Keep living, keep fighting but more importantly, keep loving

Well the foot deal isn't much fun I'm sure but it's a bump in the road I'm sure you will figure out a way to do everything just like before !
I also enjoy seeing what you turn out for flies from you're vise . What have you tied lately ?
