Everyone who enjoys history of the United States. To have an understanding of how far we have come. Should watch this movie. Displays the bitterness of the United States between the North and the South. The confiscation of fire arms from all confederate soldiers other then firearms for hunting. The forced migration of the American Indian. The transfer of property to black slaves. Tom Hanks is a Confederate Captain who surrendered. Prior to the civil war was a preacher/ news paper owner and editor. Lost everything in the war including his wife. Travels the South reading the news for people to hear. In his travels he comes upon a lost girl.

Tom Hanks is a liberal puke. Won't be watching any time soon.

Not sure of his politics. Don’t care really. Very good actor/director. Saving Private Ryan comes to mind. Another powerful movie. The movie mentioned in my thread show’s character of a lot of different attitudes during after civil war era.

Who cares? Hollywood is full of liberals.

Part of the movie shows a town that was created. Forcing people to view the mayors thoughts and ideas. Free will I thought is what they called it. Yup. Free will. They took a vote and the people revolted and took down the mayor
