The Black national anthem was played ahead of the NFL’s first game of the season between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
The NBC broadcast played a video of Alicia Keys singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" while the Florida A&M University Concert Choir joined in from Raymond James Stadium. Players from both teams stood in their respective end zones and locked arms to show unity ahead of the game.
X2^. One would be hard pressed to find a larger fan of “American “ sports than I. Frankly I walked away from most professional sports a few years ago when all this crapolla started to surface. The only thing they care about is money, and by continuing to watch these idiots, you are giving what they need. Quit buying their product, if enough of us do, they will eat themselves out of house and home. Don’t endorse these actions by helping them achieve their goal.
I noticed on the back of the Buccaneers helmets, they had messages printed such as Black Lives Matter, Inspire Change, etc. The exception was the back of Brady's helmet, which said, Buccaneers. It looks like Tom opted out of the "feel good" messages and promoted instead, the team he plays for. Tom is his own man.
