That’s typical Buzzard - talks big and then wimps out at the last minute. Same old, same old.

Trying to finish packing the truck between showers to head to Smithfield this evening and start setting up. Got a crew coming to get the vendor tables set up so they will be ready for them to set up Thursday morning when we open the gate.

Got one late change on the agenda. Scott Painter, Blueridge Outdoors Supplies is not going to be able to come due to unforeseen circumstances.

So the 8:00 Friday demo has a little different format and different Presenters. I am doing the Bobcat portion and rather than fox specific, Jimmy Pierce is going to do Flat Sets and then head into his 9:00 Dirt Hole Sets.

Also, Fur Processing has changed to 9:00 am to 12:00 noon both days with Zach Trollinger taking the lead.

The rain is supposed to clear out tomorrow morning and the forecast for Friday and Saturday look great with sunshine and lows around 50 and highs in the low 70s.

Not sure what else might be going on in Smithfield this weekend but the host Motel is full. Hope that is a good sign.

Come on out and join us!

Planning on heading out around 4am Fiday, hoping to be through Raleigh NTL 6am. Got a couple of things I'm
bringing for the auction, who do I need to see to get them on the table?

The door on the right on the end of the building takes you right by the membership table and the auction tables are just past the membership table. Any of the folks at the membership table can help you with auction items.

My grandson and I will be heading there in the morning to set up the booth, then we'll come home and make the beaver stew and smoked salmon cheese ball for the Friday night feed.

Another one in the rearview.........our numbers were not what we were hoping for as we were missing several vendors and gate numbers were down as well. The Chinese monster continues to affect us in so many ways......

But, those that were there sure appeared to be having a good time. It was great to be able to visit with folks that I did not get to see last year for sure. And we ate good for sure! And as always, the Bossman's Skeeter Pee was a big hit at the auction and I always enjoy the Salmon cheeseball. I missed out on his beaver stew but heard it was delicious.

I was a tired Old Fart at the end of each day but good Lord willing, I am looking forward do doing it again next year!

Save the Date: September 23 & 24, 2022.

It was a great time! Thanks to all you folks who made this happen. I know it's a lot of work to get'r done, and y'all did a great job. Your work was appreciated. Harold's (QuietButDeadly) hiney was draggin on Sunday.

It was nice to visit old friends again. I've got two more, VA and SC, and my convention year will be done.
