It's getting a bit difficult to find USA made supplies these days. I imagine the chain is ok until it rusts to pieces.

I would check each link. A couple years ago i got 100 feet of #2 chain from a local trapping supplier for beaver drowners. it had 3 broken links and 5 that i would not trust.

Why not get MB # 2 quality straight link chain? Or fnt select quality chain? Then you don’t gotta worry about a bad link. In the summer time it usually goes on sale and I just buy a couple hundred feet when it does.

For tire chains do NOT get china stuff. It breaks way faster than real chain!!!!!........jk

I'd buy good chain if I was figuring on pulling these multiple times.

I believe the MB chain is made in Taiwan as well, just a higher quality. Unless I have been misinformed. I'd guess they probably label it MB because its what they use on their MB line of traps.

I have never had trouble with chain marked "foreign or economy" on traps but never used it on stakes specifically.

Never thought any trap chain was made USA but definitely agree there is a quality difference between the two most supply companies offer. I won’t use what they label as import chain. Spending the couple extra dollars for piece of mind is well worth it I feel.

Put the cheaper chain beside the better quality chain and take a close look......then you will have your answer.

...and using it for chain stakes then you better take a very close look.
