If you were younger again, would you join up today (not when you originally did) with the way things are going in the armed forces?

I did not retire but I was honorably discharged. That was more than 40 years ago. I look at the world differently now. I would not do it today with my older mind but if I was 17 again I might.

Got out in February, I miss it but in the 6yr I was in it's turned into such a massive horse and pony show/ social experiment.Just so much bull politicin'...... Not how it used to be even six years ago. Unless i could go back with my old company ( some solid men and women ) the answer is no

I'm proud of my military career and I would do it again because I consider myself a patriot. But I completely disagree with much that is happening right now

Would I serve my country again, absolutely. I love the USA and would fight for everything she represents.
Would I do so wearing the uniform of today's military, H E C K NO!

My oath is to the Constitution not to a president, a party, a woke policy, treasonous general staff or any of the other domestic enemies.

No Way.

I will protect me and my family from whatever threat as long as i can. Right now the biggest threat we all face is the federal government.

Listen to Dan Carlins history of fighting the Japanese in WW2. They way our gov abandoned our guys in the Philippines and saved gen macarthur makes my blood boil. Reminded me of Benghazi. My kids won't be pawns for politicians.

Not a chance. I would be forced to choose my oath over orders. The Constitution would be my focus.

My Dad was a member of the Red Arrow 32nd Division in the Philippines when McArthur came back. He was so happy when Truman replaced him he voted Democrat until he died.
I was only in 18 months due to being a draftee with less then 6 months left while they were standing down in Nam. Even with all the BS we took back then I would have served a career more likely then, than now. Low pay back then not respected much but you knew where you stood. Today the troops get huge parades, events, more pay, better benefits but the most substance abuse, domestic violence, suicide etc. I guess many finally understand that all the hoopla is just for show and to satisfy those waving their flags and thumping their chests from their front porches.
