1 billion for tree equality !!

Jesse waters on the five was reading some of the things the dems have hidden in their 3.5 trillion shopping spree. They are just wanting to get funding so they and their friends can leech money left and right. Who decides which trees are better and how do you make one more equal?
Instead of them sitting down and planning what the country needs then see what it will cost they just approve money then look for places to spend it !!! Crazy.

I believe you may be referring to tree equity? It's basically about "reforesting" urban (poor) areas which lack trees.

Now most timberland owners hire a professional Forester to tell them which trees on their land are better. In terms of acceptable growing stock, species timber value, wildlife habitat, etc.. But I think I see where the Dems are going with this, probably about which trees or forest type are better in storing carbon? So maybe in the future the government will dictate what trees you can harvest on your own land ?

Tree equity basically is the belief that rich white people are bad, hog all the money and land and have trees in their neighborhoods. Poor minorities don't have money and land and have few trees in their neighborhoods. Therefore money should be taken from rich white people and used to plant trees in minority neighborhoods.

Didn't they cut the trees to build ball courts in the 70's-80's Then the gangs ran the kids off so they could peddle their blow and hoes ? That's why there isn't any trees in poor neighborhoods.

Just today reporters on several networks said the country doesn't need any spending right now. If the politicians would just stay out of the way the economy would take care of the spending on it's own. Who knows ?

Poor neighborhoods are typically high density with small lots, not conducive to trees.

All trees are NOT created equal-some provide more BTU's than others.

Probably mandate plant softwood so 20 years down the road can mandate they be cut so won't fall onto the new gubmnt housing.

I thought all the trees in those places were cut down because they were reminders of hangings?

Hmm, now there's an idea bulldoze cities back to dirt and plant it back. Shame the city dwellers can't be bulldozed as well.

And these are the same people in favor of cutting down forests and taking farmland out of food production, to build solar and windmill farms ?

They will be piled so high there won’t be a choice but to bulldoze them.

So planting them near black oak and black locust means trouble ??
