The man bun creedmoooh brigade are snatching it all up I bet. I was trying to find some lighter bullets to try out with no luck. Still have enough brass to hold me over for a while. primers is the big issue for me of any size.

I bought some brass(250pieces) direct from starline about 5-6 months ago. I picked up some 120g nosler ballistic tips from one of the online retailers. Could only get one box. I’ve got the primers and powder(I think). Starting to think this 6.5 grendel is more trouble than it’s worth. Not enough powder to push the 120 bullet faster than about 2400 fps. Thinking now I should have built a 6mm arc instead.

Everything I ordered I had to back order or do the notify me thing and now I get emails from all of the online vendors for everything but what I need.

John the Grendel is a fine deer round .... I use 123 grain Hornady SST as they mushroom nicely at Grendel velocities. Leverevolution powder works pretty well.

Might look at the 6.8spc.

Can't help with the brass, but Midway has been having various .264 bullets available. Was Hornady SST 123gr, then Speer Hot Cor 140 and now Hornady 140 Interlocks.

I"m not sure what is going on with some of these reloading component outfits, but since I started my search for components back in the Spring, I have been able to find Hornady Interlocks for all guns I'm loading for. Have yet to find a single Sierra hunting bullet for any of them. And have been looking for new 270 win brass since March. Nada.

I just sold my Grendel upper. I've switched over to a bolt gun some years ago because I got real tired of chasing expensive brass, plus the bolt gun is much more accurate and a lot lighter. I didn't have any luck at all with the SST bullets. Ended up using my comparator and found the bullets varied in length, base to ogive, by as much as .010. I now use the 120 grain Sierra flat base. Well under an inch and plenty of whack. I've taken several out to 170 yards, none going over 35 yards. Decent exit wounds. My powder of choice is CFE223 with CCI 450 primers. Anyhow the guy I sold it to hasn't had much of a problem getting ammo, couple boxes here and there, mostly small out of the way gun shops. He doesn't hand load. I personally have a good supply of components. For velocity I'm getting around 2500 fps.
