John Gruden Resigns

I heard about this the other day. Not sure if anyone posted this one Tman or not.
Does anyone know why he resigned?

Something a guy having lips as big as Michelin tires and Goodell being a (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman).

I'll tell what Gruden ought to do. He should write his memoirs. There is more racists crap been said in sports than any of us can imagine and I've got to think there are hundreds of people he could easily take down with him. There are pr0bably dozens of owners, coaches and players sweating it right now.

Tampa Bay took him out of their ring of honor. The Bills still have OJ in theirs.

I never cared much for Jon "Chucky" Gruden, but that's not the point. This whole cancel culture is crap. Disagree all you want with what people think or say but what business does anyone have going through peoples personal email, looking for improper language or thoughts?

Foxhunter, What good would it do to drag a bunch of folks down with him. Where does this end? Who hasn't said something in the past that the woke crowd would disagree with?

Professional sports are dominated by the left. Freedom of speech vs a killer. Killer wins. Nice!

Truly Your right Walleye. It would do no good. What I should have said is there are a lot of stone throwers out there probably equally derserving of being dismissed if this is the criteria.

Something like over half a million e-mails were found and researched, so there may be a lot more to come with this and a lot more involved. Gruden may well be the lower hanging fruit. The idea that he was sending e-mails to to others for years within the system can imply a lot.

Maybe so as to the whiners, but you can bet that this will really distract from the political issues that need addressing. Would not surprise me that this will be milked out by whomever feels it helps them the most for as long as possible. We are in the early stages of the NFL season so you can bet this will be around until after the Super Bowl and then it is the draft etc. etc. Too much value there for those who want to spread this around to let it go soon or quietly.

Eventually whites won't be allowed to play professional sports anymore, then the white coaches will have to go.

It's being brought up now because of the way racism has taken hold the past few years.
Look at the back of some of the football player's helmets. It's just in the last couple years that you see things written related to racism.

This BLM malarkey is the most racist thing I've seen in my lifetime.

I saw a Walmart hunnie wearing a tee shirt that said "Black by popular demand." Imagine a white wearing a shirt like that.

Earlier this summer a white man in Mpls wore a TShirt that said, "All Lives Matter". He was beaten by a bunch of blacks and ended up in the hospital where he eventually died of his injuries. Of course, this was reported deep inside one of the local newspapers one day. I don't know if they ever mentioned that he died. The white guy probably was considered racist for wearing such a sign, certainly not the blacks that were responsible for his death.

The NFL just needs to completely go and be replaced by another league that IS not funded by the government.

And Roger Goodell needs to start drawing unemployment.

It wasnt racist comments but allegedly homophobic and transphobic comments while he was out of the league. These were uncovered while investigating someone from yhe Washington Redskins. Just about anything said in sports can be labeled as homophobic.

Kinda like the thing that shall not be said.

A coach has his career ruined due to some questionable e-mails a decade ago( that’s 10 full years for you young ones ), yet there are players who beat their wives/ girlfriends and are still playing. The hypocrisy is almost laughable. Almost.
