Are These Burls Worth Saving???? - 10/19/21 10:37 PM

I came across a couple burls while cutting firewood. The large one is white ash, the other is red oak. What's a fellow supposed to do with them?

I'd post them on a local wood turning forum. My father inlaw turns and says there always in demand.

Those look real nice. I have been told by a wood guy to paint the ends with latex paint to keep them from drying too quickly.

I've found a couple of cottonwood trees with burls on them. Are they of any value?

Never knew there was a market for them. I'd have "turned" them into BTU's.
