Who else gets sick of celebrities making headlines for stuff that otherwise wouldn't even make it in your local newspaper. I'm sick of self-important celebrities and the attention they crave and get.

Tens of thousands of people have this much or more contact with security guards or bouncers every weekend in the US with no charges filed. The security guard was probably hoping to get Rod Stewart to pay him off to drop charges and not sue.

"Maggie May" was released in 1971, so it is 50 years old. I was born in 1970. It's still frequently played on the radio and used in movies. I've heard that song, many times a year, almost my entire life. It's probably been listened to many billions of times.

One of my stepdaughter’s husband has model train layout business in Baltimore that caters to the rich & famous. They had to take some handmade parts out to Sir Rod in Vegas last week for his layout. All expense paid weekend for them including concert. Sir Rod’s layout is moving to his castle in England and they’ve been invited to stop in for a weekend when they travel abroad next summer.

Son-inlaw told me that Sir Rod really does most of the work on his layout himself and they had a great conversation about building layouts.

I think the story about "Maggie May" is that young Rod (or whoever it is in the young) is playing a young gigolo (unpaid) to an older woman.. That's the way I took back when I was teenager and heard that song in the mid-to-later 1970s (don't think I was listening to the radio in 1971).

Rod Stewart has been sort of stud horse over time, 8 kids with 5 different women. I guess he has lived up to his name...
