Still managed this nice 28" fish. Was bleeding a bit, but swam away just fine!

Nice fish..

Gets past deer and duck season here if the river isn't frozen out. I will be out in the boat looking for walleye and perch. Here we may have open water enough to get the boat in until almost Christmas. Or may be walking on ice have to drill holes to fish and go that route.

Ice forming in the shallows here. Won't be long till it's hardwater season!

Slow because it was one of the only fish! Plus figured long John's alone were enough at -5 C.

They were not enough...

Hutchy, with your huge feet you'll be able to get out on the ice sooner than everyone else without having to worry about falling thru.

Those felt pac boots are a pain and don't last for any time.( been my experience)

One is better than none.

Always an up side.

Took a couple hrs, but at least was a good fish

The boots I have on are all rubber Kamiks . Cheap, warm and durable. Standard footwear for winter here. I usually get two seasons out of a pair
