Some years I have started out the day throwing in some crab pots near the landing and then gone upstream setting otter toilets. Good memories!

Yep, that's why I like trapping along the coast, shrimp, crab, halibut, marten, mink, and otter all on the same day.

Don't care what anybody says... no better eating crab than a Dungeness.

Good on you. Keep eating.

Rented a 14 ft fishing boat with 4 crab rings , stayed in the bay .

The ocean freaks me out , even on a 40 footer.

Is there such a thing as a crab charter? That would be interesting!

It seems to me that a crab charter would involve soak time to take a limit of crab for a boat load of people. Also fishing.
Anyone ever have been on one of the crab charters?

We added crab to our charter last june out of Euerka Ca last year. The captain had ran them the day before then on our trip came home with 7 a piece for an extra $50 each and he did all the work.

Did you guys limit out? (Oregon limit is 12 males and min. 5 3/4 in. wide for those that don't know).
