My wife hit a curb and busted a wheel like that 20 years ago. Cost 700 bucks if I remember right. Probably should have bought a steel wheel at the salvage yard. I had to buy her a tire too though.

Bet that made them wake up. Still holding air? Almost looks like it.

Bleached it pretty good. Check the tie rods on that side too.

A few years later she hit a big rock. Road grader was grading the county road. had the big line of gravel down the middle of the road. Had pushed up a big rock. I still dont know how she didnt see that rock. luckily I was home for a few days.

That sucks. Those wheels aren't cheap nowadays. As said above, check for bent or loose suspension components.

I never have wondered why 50 years ago every comedian on tv was making jokes about wimmin drivers. cant do it now though. We are all more enlightened.

Looks just like mine in October. On vacation to New Hampshire-Maine. Third night out, hit a curb at 45mph. Had to spend an extra night in. Mississippi while a new tire and wheel came in. $1,103.

Nothing appears to be loose and no cracked paint anywhere. Not crabbing down the road. Check it out in the morning on the lift.

That era GM steel rim will bend if you look at them cross eyed. Lol, seriously though we see a lot of those steel one come in bent at work. That one though took a good shot.

Don’t really need to be going all that fast depending on the height of the curb and the angle it’s hit at

Back when I was teaching my ex to drive she hit the curd while making a turn, bent the rim, the axle and tie rods, she was going about 20mph and trying to make a sharp turn into a side street

We have pot holes up here in winter and spring time that swallow up wheels. Get a used wheel…new tire and an alignment…..if something is bent it will show up on the alignment rack
