The only time i watched much NFL was back when Madden did Monday Night Football. He retired and it was never quite the same. I stopped watching very soon after and havent watched since .

Madden passing is truly the end of football as it should be. It’s symbolic of the death of real football.

Kinda weird Fox had that Madden special on Sunday before the Packer game and he dies today. Did he go in the HOF as a broadcaster or a coach? I can see as a broadcaster but not a coach.

Off topic, but a little while ago I drove to the store and looked at my phone with my weak eyes and could only make out that someone died and the first letters of the first and last name, J and M.
I about wrecked my truck. I thought it was Joe Manchin who died!
Before I could pull over to put my reading glasses on, I realized that if it had been Joe, it wouldn't have been as bad as I thought since the Gubna of WV is a Republican who would select Joe's replacement, and Schumer and all of the Democrat committee chairs would be relegated to pounding sand.

I loved to watch him when he was the annouoncer for football. He would draw all those circles and lines. Out of all the announcers, he was my favorite.
I also found it interesting that he refused to ever fly. Instead, he took his bus. Great man! RIP John.
