WOKE 2022

One of my grown children sends me articles which he finds related to WOKE this and WOKE that and WOKE just about every other thing.

I told him he could stop with the share because the WOKE is not new. It's a rehash. And it isn't going to stop anytime soon because WOKE (who even knows what this dumb term means?) isn't new at all, but began in earnest about 150 years ago with "humanism" = the faith that humans are able, with enough time and resources, to do all things.

WOKE is a faith, a religion, the same as it was with the post-modern, Neo-Darwins, Neo-liberals, and the countless names philosophers have tried to come up with to describe these "faithful."
At the end of the day, WOKEism is the same as HUMANism in that those who are faithful do the same things;

> the WOKEster faithful have a contempt and a dismissal for all the people and all the history which came before them, defining it all as "flawed," "corrupt," "contemptible" or "evil," etc.
> the WOKEster faithful are the "new" gods, able to make all things perfect, and good, and just. They alone (verses those who came before them) are bright enough, and fair enough, and good enough to bring enlightenment to this world.
> Because WOKEism is a religion with devout followers and no faith statements of compassion for others, WOKEsters have no consideration for different opinions. Just like Humanists. Hate, not love as they claim is their badge of honor. The more they hate, the more they are exalted and hailed as being faithful to their religion.

Humanism these past 150 years. Wokeism today. Wonder what is on the horizon?
Same old same old worn out hate scheme by the father of all lies.

Us humans are very industrious, created to have reverence for those who came before us and work with each other now.
WOKEism is the opposite of it all.
Of course.
Kiss a WOKEster. They must be miserable souls.

I woke up this morning as did my wife kids and dogs. I have not been out and feed to check on the rest of the animals yet this morning.

I will praise God for another day and all my blessings.

Humanism is a LOT older than 150 years. I am sure that some people who call themselves "woke" are also humanists but the two ideas are not interchangeable. I dont see how you could be a Jew, Hindu, Muslim or Christian and also be a humanist. There are faithful of all those faiths who consider themselves "woke".

Correct danny on the age of humanism. It started in the Garden "way back when."

I was using the recent modern philosophers terms of dates and such. They named all sorts of new things in the 19th century.
Today, we're caught in a Covid web I guess. New terms roll in all the time. Who ever heard of WOKE or COVID before these past several years?
Everything in this era will be cast with a Woke and Covid hue I suspect.
Tiss the way culture rolls...

The older I get the only regret is all the years wasted not serving the Lord. But glory to God because he is the God of second chance. Bless the Lord for his mercies edureth forever.

I get what you are saying but those years not serving may not have been as fruitless as you might think.

Hind sight is 20/20, looking back there were plenty of opportunities I passed on yet I did not understand what was passing. Did those things happen just to be recalled now at a time you have an understanding of them?

I prayed for the oppertunity and courage and wisdom to breing people to God not long ago. I dont know my bible and would be a poor choise for the job.

Just s few days after I was out of town with my kids for a state 4h comp. Loud people in the hall woke the wife and kids up. I never got to sleep to start with and went to talk with the desk clerk.

Turned out that young lady was seeking and confused. I had the oppertunity to sit and leson and talk with her all night. I was still in the lobby when the family came down to eat in the morning. I hope I was able to help her get on the right path. I think so but only God knows.
