6th Annual T-Man Beaver Tail Contest

It is time for the 6th Annual Trapperman beavertail challenge!

Keeping it short this year with only 1 category. I'll try to be earlier next year. We'll close entries on 4/1/22.

The rules are easy. Post a picture of the widest beavertail on a beaver you have caught.

Multiple entries allowed

Any size, post em up! 2 additional winners will be picked randomly in addition to the 1st place winner.

Beaver Tail Width Submissions:

Tail must be on the beaver! A picture of the tail, with a tape measure across it, along with a picture of you and the beaver will do. Please make sure the measurement picture is clear, and accurate. Tail only submissions won’t count.

1st Place Beaver Tail Width - Your choice of Dobbins 4oz Jar of Lure
Random Drawing #1 - Your choice of Dobbins 4oz Jar of Lure
Random Drawing #2 - RTS Trap Setter

I'll post updated standings from the thread submissions periodically so we won't have to hunt through. Multiple entries allowed.

Really low water this year and the ice has made it a little tougher on setting beaver up.

Went from muskrat love to beaver love.

Caught the 81 pounder in Jonny Thorpes hanging baited conibears set.Savageau 11-12.Not a picture book behind the neck catch but a catch nun the less.Carrying skinning and castor removal all were difficult.6 1/4 ounce green weight castor.

Mad-- You cover your holes in the ice like I do. Plywood, and I am out of pieces.

The Mad Scientist sure keeps putting up some big guys. I hope this doesn't go by the first guy to post with that size because I have been trying to get mine uploaded ever since the contest stared. It kept telling my my pictures file sizes were to large. I think I finally have them figured out. Mine is just a little guy at 66 lbs. though. Caught in a caster mound set with a Bridger #5 CS using Backbreaker.

Thanks, I caught my very 1st beaver on Paul's Backbreaker and it is still my 1st choice. She picked his skunky backbreaker for when go to Pennsylvania, she's wants a bobcat.
