200-225 they apparently don't have a huge following some of the other longer barrel target models more like 400-450

but there seem to have been a lot of the basic R92 4 inch barrel models

in usability , about that you can get a Ruger Wrangler for

Marty, still waiting on the new blue book, supposed to be here last Monday. Is it the u9 mod? Or something like that, a double action. It's going to very by as much as a hundred bucks by location of the country. Can look on gunbroker see what they have/are selling for. I don't have to tell you the sell price, not asking. It's greatest value may be going in the safe for future, or as to boot for a trade. Sorry can't help more, someone will come along with better advice soon.
Case

P.S.
It is my intention to post later my opinion of the First Second trilogy, still gathering my thoughts. WOW.

Too bad you can't sell guns on here. This would be a great place to advertise such a gun. Terrific for the trapline. smile

Gary, I don’t think you can. Maybe you can get them through the PX catalogue and have it waiting for you when you hit shore. I used to buy guns on home layaway when I was younger. Pay 10% and take the gun home. Pay a little at a time if you wanted. Of course I was young and it was an easy way to get what you wanted NOW.

I did two tours to SE Asia (72-74) and we could not buy firearms on board, only at the Navy Exchange in port.

I have the "ultra" version of that r92. Paid extra for the "lifetime warranty" & then the company went out of business. The gun has outlasted the company. I like mine on the trapline,
I even still have the case it came with, although not as good of shape as this one:

I used a similar H&R for a few years. It spit lead where the cylinder was not aligned with the barrel properly. Sent it back to the factory. They said it was repaired perfectly. No improvement. Sold it for $60 40 years ago. Bought a Browning Challenger II made in Utah and enjoyed the high quality. Still have it and sometimes carry it on the trapline.
