Yes Burbot…Ling…And we call them cusk . Very good eating…firm white meat..Scallop type. Great in Chowdah .

Some of the pay lakes in Ohio used to stock burbot. They ended up in some other bodies of water. Every once in a while someone would catch one and it would be kind of a big deal. I don't think that burbot ever bred in Ohio. I've never caught one. I would like to.

Thats some good eating write there. I usually get some a couple times a year from a friend who commercial fisherman on lake supiour there is a lot of couller varieties of them.

They say they are easy to fish using liver at night around rocky points and shoals. I have always wanted to try it. Just need a good fish hut.
