Yea quite a good year for ginseng! I had a pound one ounce, but had to sell for 750 a pound because I had some of my big homegrown roots mixed in . Came home with $818.00 a lot better than the $4 mink prices and $10 red fox prices! But I still enjoy trapping and picking roots all the same!

It's great that you can make a decent amount of income on ramps and ginseng.

Most states they don't use saplings for the pole.

That’s funny. A couple years back I was digging ginseng out by a stone quarry. I looked on the ground and saw where a quarry worker used the potty. Not 2’ away was three massive 4-prongs.

How do you make anything off of ramps? I know a place where you could take 100 pounds or more in a day without working very hard.
