Ok what is it? - 01/24/22 07:17 PM
This is the only image I have of this animal. It’s about 30 yards from a swampy area and about 100 yards from the river. You can see it leaving the frame on the left.

It could be but the tail would be lacking markings.

Deer tail down. No white rump showing because of the bright flash on the ground washing out contrast. Just a guess.
After seeing the other pics, I'm even more convinced that it's a coon and that you should invest in a better camera.
^this. The rings are light but upon closer examination they are there.

Looks like a coon to me, the rings on the tail are hard to distinguish because it's moving

I think its an aardvark actually entering the frame from the left. Oh, I also see an African lion's eyes peering at it from behind, and an alligator's eye shining in the pond on the right.

I’ll post a couple pictures of known critters in the same spot maybe give a size reference.

As bad as you want it to be a mountain lion, it isn't.

That top photo needs to be run through a few filters, because I don't even see an animal in that sjot

No doubt I need a better camera but it’s not high on my priority list at the moment. It could very well be a raccoon.
Do you have wild boar there? looks like one stepping onto the road. That cameras sensors are off and fired too soon or too late.

I think I’d stay clear of there. The critter 100 yards back is fricken huge. Lol
Coon or coyote

lol, I'd take your bet. Look how close it is to those weeds in the picture compared to the bobcat picture if it were a lion it be twice that tall.

First impression, house cat.

I'd be more concerned about what's attached to those eyes in the background. Especially that one-eyed one on the right. You just know he's angry after getting his eye poked out by that coon.

My first thought was Coyote.....or Bobcat second.

I would say bobcat, just because of the tail. Def not gray fox, coyote, and I would be pretty sure it's not coon.
It's definitely, 100%, no-foolin', sure-nuff... A pig castrator.

I think coon and I, too have a spypoint cam that takes blurry pics. I got a pic a while back I thought was a cat, but my friend says yote, sometimes it's a mystery

It's a dang Cougar. I put my glasses on and ever thing. Jayme, that's ridiculous, your falling for a optical allusion! Look how long and thick that tail is.

The eyes in the background two sets of security lights at a couple farms a mile or two down the road.
