Sou.ds like the league followed the rule. Unfortunately the rule was made as a "look how not racist we are" rule. And like most rules made to benefit only one subset of people it didn't achieve its purpose and just made someone a token.

CC, do you think the reason he wasn't hired was because he is black? Do you think because he is black he should automatically get any job he wants? I don't know anything about him other than his team went 9-8 last year and he is black. Might be a great coach to hire but race shouldn't enter into the equation.
