I always had the impression that ol' Jed didn't have to work too hard at playing his part.

He was supposed to play the Tin Man in the Wizard of OZ,,but was allergic to the aluminum dust make up he had to wear for the part,,so they got Jack Haley for the part instead. smile

Watched him on the Davy Crockett series in 1955. Max Baer, and Jr. (Jethro) had a beach house next to ours back in the '60s. :-)
