Trapping schools - 02/18/22 09:19 PM

What are some good schools/learning experiences for trapping in the northeast part of the country. Thinking about paying for some lessons this year mostly interested in canines/cats but a little of other things mixed in would be okay. Ive had my best year to date but just looking for some new ideas/perspectives. Not a beginner but not an expert either. Anyone do any lessons they highly recomend?

South jersey snaring and trapping school was worth my trip, and I drove over 1200 miles. I enjoyed it and learned.

Just had a cancellation for our predator Academy in March. PM if interested.
The Academy is 7 days.
This year we have 8 returning trappers who've been with us before and the rest are 1st timers.

LKL Trapping Experience is an excellent school for coyotes and cats. Also covers mink and coon. Top notch accomodations and great food.

Re: Trapping schools - 02/23/22 11:22 AM

Ringneck1,
We're not sure about whether we will pull the trigger on another Academy just yet. This is our 7th year and each year we are filled up (we had a cancellation the other day because of a person's situation) and that has been humbling to Donna and I, but we have about 1,000 and 1 things we want to do in the coming years + we really need to get back trapping our major ranches during Jan-March as we've trapped most of them piece meal these last 3 years I've attended Seminary here in Dallas. Graduation is in May and we are buying a home back in Michigan, where we will summer, so bottom line...

we have a lot in motion and dates are not yet visible to us grin laugh
Thanks for asking!
If there's anyway to get to us this year... it'd be the best bet.

Blessings,
Mark
