So I made another hat

I had initially made this hat for myself. I didn’t really have enough matching material to make the hat uniform so I used what I had and it turned out ok but not the best. I got the front a little off centered when I sewed the ear flaps on but maybe I’ll be the only one to notice that. Even though I cut the material much larger than I thought I needed the hat turned out a little too small for me. It would pull my ears down when putting it on and was a very snug fit. I was outside with some scissors trimming it up when my “retired” live market red fox trapping neighbor seen me out his window. He came rushing over and just gawked at this hat that I wasn’t completely thrilled with. I told him to try it on and he said how it fit him perfectly and that I had done an amazing job on it. So I gave it to him…his wife told me the next day that he had worn it to bed! Hahaha

He wore it to work today, it was low 20s this morning and mid to high 30s for the high and the wind has blown fairly hard all day. He told me that he had to take it off multiple times due to it being too hot! Hahaha

Not particularly…when one considers skinning, fleshing, drying, pickling, tanning, breaking, collecting material and sewing….I’d say 14 to 15 man hours.
