Cell Phone Options? - 03/15/22 06:25 PM

Yep..Back in the day there was no cell phones..then I got a cell phone I only use the cell phone for 34.00 a month to make phone calls only...OK..well now the cell phone company just notified me that they are going to discontinue 3G (For whatever that's worth)...So...I call them up and they are quick to hook me up with a brand new phone if I pay for one of their smart phone plans for $64.00 a month..That's the smallest amount for their smart phone plans...Do any of you have a better promotional plan than that?..I have 90 days or so before I get cut off..LOL

Straight talk with unlimited minutes is just under $50 and you have internet.

Strait talk has a 35 dollar plan also. It has plenty of high speed internet if your not on your phone 24/7

I pay 50 for two phones and unlimited everything. Sprint/T Mobile. I was paying over 200. So I told them I was switching to Verizon. Wanted to keep my number. So I get a call a few days before the switch and they start telling me about this over the age of 55 plan. I bout didnt do it because its been awhile since I saw 55 and no mention of of a discount. Verizon came down on their original "plan" cost too but still more than 50. So I still have Sprint/Tmobile. Make sure they know your shopping around and are willing to drop them like a hot potato. Just like buying a new pickup you can get them bidding against each other. Dont deal with the clowns at the store. Go direct to the office with phone calls.

check Ting mobile

you can order a phone through them or get an unlocked phone from amazon or similar

check with people in your area about what carrier works best if your at all rural there will likely be some that do not work well

Ting can be Verizon network based or Sprint network based. for us sprint based didn't work once you left town and barley in town , the verison based works ok out of town

Yep. That 50 month dont include phones. I bought two apple SE phones for 400 each to have 5g. Whatever that is. From apple on line.

https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-se

I bought them with 64 GB (whatever that is) and have had no trouble. They receive a LOT better than my old I phone 4. My credit card app works on this one too. It quit working on the I phone 4. When I called the bank they said my phone was to old. I think it was only 10 years old or so. Anyway I can pay off my credit card every month again from my checking account with my cell phone. Its fast and handy.

I have a Motorola e6 from Walmart with Verizon prepaid. $35 a month unlimited talk text and internet. I bought 2 last time mine went in the drink for $48. They might be more now.

Edit: it's a Moto e6 and they're now $64.99. You just start them and select the plan then add your number. Pretty easy.

Those motorola Moto phones are good, cheap, and the battery lasts...You can get them from walmart, amazon, unlocked, or with a plan. I get over 2 days on my older g6,

This is what I've had since moving to MS 8 years ago. No complaints. BUT if your phone is your main source of Internet, you might need a more expensive plan. I only use the Internet when not at home as we have wifi at the house so plenty enough for me. Service seems as good as Verizon or any of the other big names in the area.

We use cricket. It’s $116 a moth for four phones and uses ATT towers. We’ve had it for about 3 years and don’t have any complaints.
