Opening day in the Black Hills. Lots of hiking and calling. Heard him gobble once a 100 yards off and then he came in completely silent and took about 40 minutes. Very exciting day!

Anyone else get lucky yet?

Nice hoping to hit the Hills this year I have 3 prairie tags, archery and a Hills tag to fill.

One of my sons has been talking about moving to SD and wants me to go out and look.around with him, either this fall or next.
LOL, may have to.time it with turkey season.

CONGRATS !!!! Beautiful bird !!!!

Never hunted SD yet but want to just because of the allure of the Hills. Have hunted the Nebraska panhandle a couple times and also eastern Wyoming. ALL just BEAUTIFUL country !!!!! Would love to take a couple weeks and hunt all 3.

Still 2 1/2 weeks til our season opens, here.

Nice , next week season starts but we have A-F seasons each a week Wednesday to Tuesday we are not up for several more weeks

I am a self appointed ambassador of the Black Hills. Fell in love with this area the moment I stepped foot under the ponderosa pines. Its some amazing country!
