Pit Boss Navigator 550 - 04/15/22 09:44 PM

Anyone have one this size? Its 300 bucks more for the 850 and i think 98 percent of the time the 550 would suffice? For those who have one this size, any regrets? Ribs, loins, maybe a brisket. I cant think of anything bigger id try to smoke. Does the bigger one do a better job? Would live to save some cash for a cz bobwhite 20 gauge ive fallen in love with.

have the Pit boss Austin xl 499 at Walmart . 1000 in cooking surface Plus has the side tray to sit stuff on. You will use that space more than you think. once it heats up it doesn't use any more pellets to cook one burger or a 20 lb brisket. Time it takes to cook an item is were pellet use comes in. Just fixed chicken quarters on mine today.. [Linked Image]

Does that model have a 5 year warranty? There seems to be big difference in the price of different models

Bought a pit boss. First time I tried to use it it threw an error code and needed a new computer. I took it back and bought an Oklahoma Joe. Sure wish the pit boss would have worked. Sure would be much nicer to set the temp and and walk away vs tending the fire every 35 min to an hour.
