Got out this morning for a turkey hunt and connected with this nice bird. 9 1/2” beard and 1” spurs. Eric [Linked Image]

KsTrapper, It was super slow this morning out well before daylight. Never heard a bird gobble. Was just walking to my normal spots where I know turkeys hang out and doing some calling. Walked to the top of a small rise and made a few yelps and this bird flies in at about 100 yds. Kinda took me by surprise. Made some soft yelps and he turns and starts walking in. He stopped at 50 yds and would come no closer. Leveled down on him with my 870, long beard X-R choke and long beard #5 3” and dropped him in his tracks. Eric

That’s awesome, good calling and shooting. It’s neat the variations in different subspecies of turkey, the tips of your toms fan are so much darker than the Rios I hunt.
