Thirty Shaves= one razor

Just got thirtieth shave out of one disposable razor. I need to stretch razor expense in this time of hyperinflation.

You can stretch them even more. clean, dry, add drop of olive oil to blades.

Still have some razors I bought in HS.

It’s amazing how much one can stretch it even more by stropping the razor on a patch of denim jeans before every shave.

^^^^ this. I get 6 months out of 1 blade. I shave 2 or 3 times a week. Blades actually don't dull that fast. They rust. You just can't see it with the naked eye.

I used to shave with a safety razor and a cup of soap and brush. You can sharpen those double edge blades in side a glass peanut butter jar with a little water in it. Just slide it back and forth on the inside of the jar. I would shave for years with the same blade, while the new ones in the pack rusted.

Same here. I worked ten years in the oilfield and they made us be clean shaven in case we had to wear an SCBA to work on an h2s well. I told my wife if I ever leave the oilfield I will never shave again. Got laid off almost three years ago when oil tanked and haven’t shaved since. I trimmed once for a job interview, and once because I singed a good bit of it on a propane heater while ice fishin lol
