LOL, I don't believe anything I see on TV about ANYTHING!
Especially " reality" shows, they are typically anything but.

I've guided enough filmed hunts to know that what ends up on TV has little to do with the reality of the hunt. One very famous couple missed two different moose last fall a total of 13 times at ranges under 200 yards. All caught on camera, but you wont see it on their show.

Most of the TV guys and gals are not poachers, but enough of them have been caught that it gives the rest a bad name.

One stepped over the line sweet Jesus……
Guy just wasn’t quite sure where the boundary was and neither was the bear!

Crazy why someone would risk so much by cheating on a hunt.
A fool and his money….

Most hunting shows today are terrible, I cannot watch them. They do more to fuel the antis than anything else.

It's not a reality show it is a hunting show on the Sportsman Channel. Blaine owns several outdoor shows that play on various hunting channels.

It will be interesting to see if he is convicted and if it was intentional.

Is anyone allowed to hunt that particular park under a subsistence tag?

Says he shot it in Pilot Harbor which is probably the most remote part of the park. Very few go there, up at the head of NW arm Nuka. I’ve seen as many as 5 bears at a time on that beach. Usually get up there once a year. Right across from Kvashnikoff falls. Some native land inholdings in the area dunno why he didn’t just get a permit

I don't believe the Brown family, but they make everything else seem legit. Mike

Wonder if his "guide" mislead him about where they were?

If it is proven to be intentional then he should have the book thrown at him, if the guide misled him then punishment should be on the low end of the scale.

Guess if I ever go on a hunt like that I will have some way of verifying my position (OnX or such)

The Last Alaskans seemed to be the real deal. Wish they would bring it back.

Anybody who videos themselves doing something illegal is a moron. If they actually air or post the video on the internet, their IQ has to be close to single digits.

Anchorage Daily News won't let me read the story unless I disable my adblocker or subscribe. I ain't doing either.

I get the gist of it from the headline though; some reality TV star called the Bear Whisperer (from a show of the same name?) is accused of killing a bear on land closed to bear hunting.
